Overview
The tombs are renowned for their mummies, which are unique due to their gilded masks and coffins. Many of the mummies are adorned with gold leaf, which is relatively rare compared to other mummies from this period. This has led to the site being dubbed the “Tomb of the Golden Mummies.”
